This was the birth of a splendid story which, from the days of antiquity to the those of the present, has moulded the landscape, generated a great tradition, and allowed the development of a wine-making know-how.  

Corsica has no less than nine Appellations d'Origine Contrôlée, the highest accolade of quality within the classification of French wines.
